The nose is somewhat muted, plums and not much more. The tannins are still pretty gripping and the fruit is secondary to those tannins. This is not a good sign for a ten year old wine. Obviously this was a moderately priced wine that may have hit its peak a year or more ago. Three hours in the open bottle did nothing to open up the wine so my advice, drink up, it ain't improving.
