89 Points

Saturday, September 15, 2007 - Color was dark crimson, no browning around the edges. There was a mint flavor to it that I seem to recall from the handlful of times I have had Martha's Vineyard. The nose is somewhat muted, plums and not much more. The tannins are still pretty gripping and the fruit is secondary to those tannins. This is not a good sign for a ten year old wine. Obviously this was a moderately priced wine that may have hit its peak a year or more ago. Three hours in the open bottle did nothing to open up the wine so my advice, drink up, it ain't improving.
