Friday, April 19, 2013 - Lovely cool climate Pinot Noir. This is from the Silacci Vineyard which touches the north western edge (the coolest part) of the Santa Lucia Highlands but is just outside the appellation. This shows the lovely scents of fall that I so cherish when I find them in Pinot Noir. Fall leaves, damp earth, mushroom, hints of homemade cherry pie, baking spice. A lovely wine. Light on it's feet (you can see through it) but packed with flavor. I will be drinking much more of this. Killer QPR
