Sunday, October 2, 2011 - Tasted this together with a 2008 caymus to compare and contrast. Ran both through a vinturi and enjoyed over3 hours. This 2009 did not have as much purple in the glass. Beautiful bright red color with shades of purple on the edge. Nose was muted compared to the 08 but still had nice scents of red fruit and, loads if dark fruit and subtle hints of spice. Mouthfeel feel was slightly thin but still enjoyable. This wine is drinking now, after some air, very nicely. This is the epitome of a napa cab and has a very nice qpr. strong flavors of cocoa powder and dark fruit. Love the napa pencil lead that also started to emerge. Paired beautiful with some grilled sirloin Bought a case and can't wait t enjoy over the next couple years. Don't stick this one in the cellar for 10 years. Enjoy.
