Friday, August 22, 2003 - Tasted double-blind at Vintage Wines, Ltd. Bottle provided by Marshall Banker. Bright disc. Deep ruby robe with red rim (and some slight bricking). Intense nose of smoke, kirsch and exotic spices. Medium-bodied on the palate, with prominent acidity and medium, dry tannins. Similar flavors as for the nose. Long, slightly dry finish. Very nice, but needs more time.
