Friday, September 2, 2011 - Maybe the best Lillian yet. Expressive nose with coffee, violets, currants, meat and subtle cracked black pepper. Palate was quite high toned with high acidity, giving it a much lighter mouthful than previous vintages. Great energy. Great depth on the palate with similar flavors. Lengthy mocha and rock filled finish. Feels a little more sharply defined than prior vintages, and a little lighter, without giving up any depth or complexity. Needs time to integrate. 93-95
