Thursday, March 24, 2016 - There's good balance of fruit and acidity in this behemoth. Per G it is probably fresher at this age than the "regular" 2009 Kongsgaard chardonnay. Oaky, viscous, concentrated and obviously California in style, it's clearly a success and avoids the excess of butter and sugar that plagues some less well made chardonnays that strive for home runs. That said, I still question whether the high tariff is justified.
