Saturday, December 10, 2016 - I've been spoiled lately by my Martinelli Jackass and Jackass Hills from 04 and 05. This is excellent Zinfandel, but for me not a standout. Nice black raspberry flavors and a smooth drink; perhaps more air will lift it up a little.
Day Two: More air did indeed lift it; now a very pleasurable wine. Spicier and richer without losing its suave quality. 91 on Day One; 94 on Day Two.
