Tuesday, November 3, 2015 - Pop n pour for a quick taste. A grapey nose. Very young and undeveloped nose on first whiff. The taste is a bit more of the same along with some red fruits popping through and some stringent tannins. Just not giving anything that I find appealing. I will check in tomorrow to see where this really is.

Next day. More fleshed out but still has that grapiness, but now also has a blackberry, cassis thing going on. Sort of high toned fruit. Bright fruit. Wish this had some earthier tones. More about that high toned fruit. I wonder if the Viognier is more pronounced right now. There is some Lavender as well.

Thinking about this wine further it reminds me of a young Edmunds St John Syrah, so it has me wondering if this will develop the same. After 15 years or so it might become a dead ringer for a high quality Northern Rhone.
