Friday, September 15, 2017 - another great example from the 1990 vintage. The cork crumbled at the bottom but rescued with no damage. Lots of sediment, so double decanted back into the bottle and then left for 2 hours and then drank over 3 hours. Still a deep ruby colour, barely any sign of age. Chewy dark cherry and licorice - actually quite similar to the 1990 Barbi of a month ago in overall profile, but on balance I felt that this was a slight step down from that superb bottle. 93 pts
