Thursday, February 4, 2016 - Decanted for 3 hours and continued to open in the glass. Classic lead pencil and graphite minerals on the nose and these same flavors came out on the palate after the wine sat in the glass for some time. Quite structured but also full and earthy with black fruit flavors. The finish is very finely complex already showing wonderful notes of dark spices and graphite minerals. With enough air, this is beginning to drink well although it is many years from showing all its glory. A great Lafite in the making... 95+
