Friday, April 18, 2014 - The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered red fruit, cherry, scorched earth, black tea, coffee, leather, tobacco and spices on the nose. On the palate the wine showed cherry, tart red currant, earthy notes, tea and tobacco, paired with high acidity, medium-plus tannin and very good length. A solid, medium-bodied, medium-complex, rustic and dry Chianti Classico that should continue to drink well for 5+years. I would recommend decanting for 30 minutes.
