Friday, May 12, 2017 - From magnum, opened 1 hour prior to consuming with a bevy of pizzas with a family crowd. Some tart cherry, red alpine currant, red licorice and tannins. Just not quite at the level of either the 2006 or 2009 editions of this same wine. Not quite the intensity or concentration of these other vintages, but still perfectly suitable for a crowd around the large rectangular table with 3 pizzas staring back at them.
