NOSE: “green” aromas reminiscent of a very dry Sauv. Blanc from Sancerre; moderately intense minerality; quite ashy; hints of smoke, petrol, and apple.

BODY: attractive, luminescent pale yellow color; light to medium-light bodied.

TASTE: lots of mineral; steely; lime; hints of pear and powder; fresh and clean; no oak flavor; acid is very noticeable, but is not tart; long finish of medium to medium-strong intensity; 12% alc. not noticeable; very dry --- this wine *begs* for sushi; perhaps a bit more thin than I’d prefer, but that’s a mere nit; this wine is more about its acid/mineral/freshness than it is the fruit. Excellent wine; ridiculous QPR.

B: 50, 5, 12, 16, 8 = 91
