Sunday, February 6, 2022 - A beautiful bottle from a big year in Bordeaux. Ripe purple color with orange rim. Very nice aromas of black cherries and plum, very jammy. Plums, black cherries and lots of spices like cloves, cinnamon and sandelwood. Mature but in no way weak. Nice finish: roses, plums and licorice. Bought the wine at the ridiculous price of $ 18 in 1992 where I attended a tasting of the fresh 1989s and really liked it. Each and every bottle has been rewarding: a steal!
