Sunday, November 17, 2013 - Wow, the most noticeable thing here is the acidity: extremely high. But first, on the nose it smells very much like Riesling: a bit of honey, orange flowers, rainy minerality, and actually some fairly noticeable petrol. I was a bit surprised and would imagine that note becomes more prominent with age. A really enjoyable nose right now.
In the mouth, there's some friendly effervescence and then the acid attacks almost immediately. I love acid but with this, it's about all you taste. Needs some time in the cellar to relax. A touch of flowers in the mouth as well, but again just more acid.
Was better with some food, which gave the acid something to cut through other than my tongue.
