Tuesday, April 26, 2011 - Aromas of smoky peach and yellow stone fruit, bacon (almost like smoked mortadella, if such a thing exists), and toasted bread with a little bit of spice over a subtle chalky minerailty, opens up with lemon oil aromas over time. Ripe and round with medium-full body, no surprise given the vintage. While I wouldn't consider this racy, the acid was quite good given the vintage and enough that I wouldn't consider it blowsy. Good minerality on the palate which becomes more apparent on the finish. Quite good for the vintage and should be able to hold for a least a couple of more years.
