Tuesday, February 5, 2013 - In general usage, "fruitless" means unsuccessful. For the 2010 Ricard S.B. wines, it means both this and Having No Fruit. I went long on the Potine and other Ricard labels for 2010, and 2+ cases into them haven't encountered a single bottle that "blooms," alone or with food. Same story tonight: tight as a drumskin. Yet I learned from Ricard's costly 2008 "?" cru that even the best of these wines are for early drinking. So, no improvement expected -- despite another case-plus to be suffered through before the point has been proven to the .000000001% level of certainty.
