92 Points

Monday, October 15, 2012 - Rich garnet color, just a bit brownish. Very nice Bordeaux nose of earth, plums, iron filings, allspice notes. Austere on the palate, not at all flabby or superannuated. Very firm acid backbone supports cedar and cooked black cherry notes. Finishes long, with excellent grip and low tannins. This is an oldish bottle but still lively. A bit austere perhaps, but completely worth drinking and even holding for awhile longer.
