Friday, March 9, 2012 - Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium cherry-plum color. Nice nose of oak, cherries, pomegranate, and mushroom notes. Light to medium bodied on the palate, with juicy acidity; simple earthy flavors lead you to think this is a fuller-bodied wine, creating a bit of a disjunction. Finishes with iron filing notes over minimal tannins. A pleasant bottle, not exactly memorable but certainly drinkable.
