Friday, June 2, 2017 - 3/12. Coravined half a bottle 28/5, finished 2/6. This bottle not the best, almost certainly not helped by the Coravin process stirring up sediment. It was medium/deep garnet with a pale garnet rim. The nose had some attractive dark, smoky, minerally fruit, with tobacco also coming through on the palate which, on this bottle at least, was a touch austere with some sandy tannins showing on the finish. There was also the odd slight whiff of sea water on the nose. Drinkable but, as I say, not the best example. NR
