Wednesday, April 21, 2021 - Found this one in a “dark corner of the cellar” and thought “uh oh..” much to my surprise it is still holding on just fine. Certainly a bit past “peak” but a darn fine wine. Not a lot on the nose but the body is nice, color is deep purple and it still offers flavors of kirsch, black pepper and some sort of floral notes I can’t quite determine (violets?). All in all still a fine glass of wine for $10/bottle. Served with roasted chicken and veg.
