Monday, January 13, 2020 - Rather aggressive woody aroma that carries through to some raw oaky notes on the mid-palate. Rather lean and disjointed in overall character, and I had a difficult time trying to enjoy it. I am a fan of Courcel, but this bottle was not up to the standards I expect. Served with a ham hock and goose confit white bean stew; the acid level did help cut through the rich flavors, but not else to praise about this wine.
