2010 Domaine Huet Vouvray Sec Le Mont

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Friday, October 7, 2011 - Difficult to summarise this beauty after the first two days. Nose with extremely fresh primary aromas -- grapes, apple, limestone, something smoky. In the mouth it begins with a touch of an attractive sweetness and ends on a very dry note, with a lot of acidity. Formidable aromatic complexity. Delicious, juicy, lively. -- On the third day just drunk with great pleasure with a fish poached in the wine and a sauté of cabbage, red onion and capers. The acidity combined with the 9 g sugar per liter (according to Chris Cissack) makes it an excellent food wine.
