Saturday, August 23, 2014 - gorgeous platinum gold; reticent aromatically, w/lemon-lime zest, ginger, limestone powder; med - bodied; slightly sweet on entry, citrus curd, tart, tangy & mineral; as it warms, sings w/food. excited about its future.

grilled spice-crusted nc triggerfish in avocado-tomatillo sauce; "stew" of summer squash, okra, pienolo tomato & hatch green chile; garlicky roasted rosegold potatoes

    8/23/2014 9:51:00 AM - I only took 6 of these; should've gone big and done a case. I do have quite a lot of the Huet laid down as well as Chidaine and Pinon. Along with Muscadet and Riesling, Loire CB represents the best bang for the buck in whites.
