Saturday, May 5, 2012 - Dark red fruit on the nose along with some cedar and cigar box notes. Mostly red currant and black cherry flavors on the palate with some minerality coming through as well. The tannins were more forward than I anticipated given the last bottle I had of this vintage but with some air time, the tannins smoothed out and resulted in a smooth drinking, classy Napa cab. Medium acidity. Cathy makes some of my favorite food friendly cabs in Cali and this was another winner. Sad this was my last bottle.
