Tuesday, June 4, 2013 - Tart black cherry, a little cranberry and orange rind, fall spices, earthy wet forest floor, a little birch beer. Soft and silky mouthfeel and then a spicey finish with some fine tannins. Just a hint of alcohol poking through but nothing too objectionable. A nice RRV Pinot that should drink well for a few years. Day 2: this held up really well and is more integrated and rounded. I rarely like wine better on the second day, but I think this was better on day 2.
