Friday, October 9, 2015 - This was opened and decanted for 45 minutes at a local restaurant. The wine was clear and a lighter orangy red mix in colour. The nose was quite strong with caramel notes. In the glass was a wine that confused me. I loved the caramel and cherry flavours as well as the lighter alcohol content of this wine yet somehow these tasted didn't mix together properly in this bottle. The acidity and spices were quite light yet the tannins were still very strong. I'm not sure where these bottles will go in the future but I'm now very curious. This was a good bottle but I hoped for more from it.
