Wednesday, May 8, 2019 - 2017 Louis Michel Chablis (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Too bad, lots of nice elements here-real sea breeze, great acidity, a texture that could fool you into thinking that some wood was involved, and a touch of honey. It all competes with a muting mustiness that is most prominent on the aftertaste. I went back and forth with this, but finally, I decided it was sound, and the finish eventually improved. Perhaps a little more advanced and dull than a perfect bottle, but this still has a lot of guts. Look forward to retrying my one remaining bottle.
