Monday, October 15, 2012 - Bottle and fill excellent, cork was wet most of the way up, but sound. Very attractive from the start. Beautiful and warm with cherry, Christmas spice and a lovely finishing bitterness that grew with time. 16% alcohol, but it wears it well - I finally got the "amaro" character of this wine and found it very appealing. Excellent partner to a complex chicken dish with orange, olives, chorizo, sun dried tomato and couscous. My wife loved this wine. Maybe it was the food, the novelty of the wine style, the Autumn night or something else, but I really felt that we were drinking one of the great wines of the world.
