Monday, July 30, 2012 - Riesling Blind Tasting (My Home): Well I seriously under estimated this wine when I first tasted it. I initially found the wine showing too much buttery notes and soft. But with more air, and especially on the 2nd day, this was really a pure joy to drink. Smoky with a touch of petrol mixed with wood wax and honey. A little musky note as well (think of an old wet piece of wood). The sugar is beautifully integrated and there's a peaceful balance. Not really a fruit standing out (maybe apple) as this is mainly about tertiary aromatics. Very good wine!
