Friday, January 18, 2013 - Good quality St-Emilion of medium garnet color, having a reasonably concentrated nose showing blackberry and plum, prune, liquorice, savory and hints of violet. Medium in acidity, the tannin is ripe but a bit powdery. Medium in body, the palate has also reasonably intense flavors of blackberry and plum, prune, toast, cinnamon. Having a reasonable length on the finish, it is a balanced wine. My only criticism is the relatively simple characters of the wine despite its maturity. Ready to drink now and not intend for further ageing.
