Saturday, September 25, 2010 - Double decanted and poured, and then consumed over 4 hours. Medium to full-bodied wine that is dark garnet in color. On the nose, cassis, plums, and light menthol. On the palate, cassis, tobacco, and dark chocolate on the extremely long 40+ second finish. Lovely, well-balanced wine that has creamy, sweet, fine-grained tannins. The structure is fantastic, too, and the fruit still tastes fresh and young. Absolutely fantastic…bravo! If the aromatics open up further, this one will get even better.
