Sunday, July 21, 2013 - Took to a restaurant so I did not the opportunity to decant. The cork split so I assumed bad things were ahead and yet the wine was outstanding from the first taste- worked great with a oven roasted chicken. It was strong and earthy with leather and smoke subtle pepper at the back end the tannins kept this wine smooth –it was a bit hot ( high alcohol) I imagine it may have been overpowering early on but was very nice 15 years later
