Saturday, March 18, 2023 - This wine is so big yet so refined. It is dark, inky purple. The nose of cherry and flowers has smoke lurking in the background. You could spend the evening smelling this wine—just an amazing perfumed nose. The body is velvety and thick, but with a great lift of acidity offsetting the massive layers of plums, cherries, and currants. There is a long elegant finish with wonderfully supple tannins. It is drinking great right now and will certainly continue to improve for a decade and be great for another 30 years.
