Sunday, August 19, 2012 - Looks like blackberry juice. Very deep black fruit nose with some obvious oak. Really chocolate-ty on the palate. Some fine tannins. Long finish. The flavors are classic Douro to me. There is a softer structure than some Crasto VV Reservas. This is still quite young. Drinkable now, but I expect that it will be even more delicious over the next 2-5 years. What really stands out for me is the fruit intensity and the overall balance. Impressive! I should have bought more.
