Monday, February 16, 2015 - Rough notes from last week. Tastes like a nondescript Napa Cab, full and sweet, with just a bit of sawdust and graphite. Tasty but uninspired. Entering its window, could get better if that easy sweetness recedes to reveal more fruit character, but I'm unlikely to hold it long enough to find out given cellar space and a lack of confidence in the acid base of this wine. 90-91.
