Friday, April 27, 2012 - When I tasted this at the winery last summer I was pleasantly surprised. Opened one of our two bottles last night to pair with linguini and clams in a marinara sauce and it was an excellent complement to the meal. Subtle nose of red berries, soft and silky on the palate, mostly fruit with just a hint of earthiness. A lighter body wine than what I consider a typical sangiovese with a fairly short finish; however, for the $20 purchase price, a very good bottle of wine.
