Sunday, January 3, 2016 - Part one:
Very tight wine on opening. Strong notes of berries ending sharply on a dry mouth.
Decanted it for 4-5 hours. It became a lot more open, exhibited acid notes and a lot more fruits (currants, berries) with earthy tones. Did not last long in mouth, finishing in a flat 'dizzle'.
Left half the bottle which we'll enjoy the next day. I'm hopeful it will explode more.

Forgot to post this. The second day, the wine had lost most of its acidity and carried a very soft berry flavor. I think I opened the bottle a year or two too late...
