Sunday, April 4, 2010 - Super-dense purple, opaque in glass. Touch of caramel on nose. On the palate: a simmering cauldron of fruit and berries! By which I mean slightly jammy blackcurrants and brambles; but not jammy in a bad way. Very smooth, no doubt in part from the high alcohol (15.5%) which wasn't otherwise noticeable. Few tannins, and those very fine. I've had three bottles of this vintage over the past three years, and it's got better each time: starting its maturity, I'd guess. Superb. Wish I still had the other two bottles I drank too young.
