Wednesday, January 25, 2023 - The 09 Genaivrieres has a translucent light ruby/deep pink rim, a colour we normally associate with older Pinot Noir. Interestingly quite common in the younger vintage of Domaine Leroy I’ve come across. Gorgeous bouquet of ripe black cherry, intensely fragrant rose petals and exotic spices (that many Burgundy drinkers crave for in the finest Pinot Noir), cloves and underbrush. Sweet ripe fruits with graceful tannins, exquisite aromas and wonderfully satisfying finish. Equally as delicious the 99 Genaivrieres served next to it. (93/100)
