Monday, April 1, 2019 - Had been sitting on this for years because the winemaker’s note said this should be good 2018-2024. Decided to open now based on a couple CT notes suggesting not to wait anymore. Really happy we did. The elevated acidity wasn’t a problem, and in fact without it I fear the wine would’ve peaked a few years ago. Had thrown a fair amount of sediment & the tannins are almost completely resolved. Quite food compatible with a nose that was fantastically expressive. First thought was to score 93, but gave it another point just for having character.
