Friday, April 12, 2013 - Transparent ruby and just starting to hint at orange towards the rim. Typical and pleasing nose of rose petal, tar, and iron. Medium bodied and in a restrained, feminine style, with tons of acid, red fruits, orange peel, and a medium+ finish. While the tannins were noticeable, I don't think they detracted and I find this very approachable now. I also do not get any of the oak mentioned previously. This is pretty sexy, but I'll be curious to see if time imparts some additional complexity. If you've got a few, go ahead and pop one; otherwise, maybe try in a year or 2.
