Saturday, July 26, 2014 - Pristine bottle. Youthful appearance, intense colour but light for age; impressive depth and concentration on the nose, meaty, earthy, spicy oak, herbs, ripe citrus, topnotes of flowers and honey; the palate displays a lovely balance between power and elegance, harmonious, salty minerality, ripe acidity; slight lack of concentration on the finish but very good length. A stylish BBM, at peak but with (some) time in hand, a worthy representative of an august terroir in a difficult vintage. Completely intact on the second day, a bit more harmonious but with slightly faded flavours.
