Saturday, December 13, 2014 - Although this went perfectly (more so than the '09 Ch. Doisy Vedrines) with the Manchego cheese cakes the wife conjured up for dessert, I am still puzzled by the quirky funk in this wine's palate profile. It's an unidentifiably earthy-herbaciuousness - nearing gaminess...which is what complimented the savory component of the dessert. Although it can be argued to have its place, I don't enjoy it enough to recommend it.
