Wednesday, December 26, 2018 - It is a little more bold than one would expect from a blend that is 70% merlot. The nose definitely has red fruit tones that have then dried and are more concentrated. There is also a hint of subtle flower and wet stone. On the tongue the fruit seems darker like boysenberry, a little blueberry and aged plum. The texture perfectly coats your mouth with wine each sip. In fact the texture is why it is a 92 not a 91.
