Saturday, August 12, 2017 - Dark red , still vibrant but with bricking along edges.
Aromas of dark berries, stewed plums, touch of vegetal.
Dark berry flavours, plums, cassis. Nice development of leather, cedar. Chocolate on finish as well as some creamy chalkiness on the mouthfeel. Touch of greenness. Full bodied. Waning acidity but still enough to keep the fruit fresh tasting. Really enjoyable. Dusty smooth and drying tannins. Medium to long finish. Very nice wine although starts to ride the line between becoming a bit overblown for my tastes. I prefer more subtlety. But still well balanced to keep the wine in line. If you love new world style then this is your baby.
