Thursday, March 18, 2021 - Dark cherry, cough syrup and wet new pavement aromas leap from the glass. The flavors are cherry liqueur, horehound candy and grilled thyme and peppercorn. The finish is a bit odd, which detracts slightly from the experience. Not bad just a little unusual. It is drying, but on the roof of the mouth vs the tongue.

Overall, very enjoyable and just entering the peak enjoyment window. You have another decade or so to enjoy this wine.

Served at cellar temp after a 35 min decant.
