88 Points

Saturday, June 6, 2009 - Was in the mood for a Bdx blend, grabbed this one on impulse and drank without decant. Stored well since release, initial nose of pencil shavings, red fruits, light menthol. Palate was very well balanced with raspberry, cedar, hint of mint, vanilla oak. Very drinkable, seemed a bit weaker on night #2 at first, but some air time livened everything back up. This was my only bottle, I'd say drink now or hold up to 2 more years. 50+5+11+14+8=88

On night three this was still going really strong, even given no efforts to preserve the wine via fridge or vacuum seal. The acidity was a bit higher tonight, but the red fruits, pencil, menthol were very clear tonight as well. I'm a bit stingy on scores, this might warrant another point or two, and for drinking horizon might be more in line with a 2-5 year window, depending how you like your Bdx blends aged. Enjoyed to the last glass.
