Saturday, December 16, 2017 - This was a very extracted wine. I'd say the vineyard was cropped to 1 tonne per acre! The nose was tar, molasses, leather, ripe blackberry, tobacco leaf and eucalyptus. The mouthfeel was lighter, mostly berry fruit with good balance of acidity and very fine tannins. The only fault was the finish was very quick. I think this could go a couple more years, but drinking fabulous right now. Too bad it's not available in North America (as far as I know).
