Tuesday, March 3, 2020 - Dinner at Yan (Yan, National Gallery, Singapore): Very nice, although not quite as impressive as the last time we had it. I loved the nose, with its alluring Gevrey notes of sous bois, meat, and gentle red fruit touched with little bits of florals and spice. The palate was really charming, with silky tannins and soft acidity lapping against a core of pure red fruit. I loved the transparent clarity, and the beautiful silliness of it, but this did feel a bit thinner and shorter than the last bottle. Time to drink up perhaps, but this was otherwise really nice.
